Quick Write

There is no freedom in conditioning. As people grow up they are influenced by their experiences in life that is what makes someone to themselves. if all his or her actions are limited and conditionedthey grow up to be different without freedom. In Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World", scientists creates a new class system made up of clones being called by Alpha, Byta, Delta, Gamma, and Epsilons. Each level of clones does different jobs. For examples, the Epsilons do simple jobs such as cleaning garbage. This way, they grow up only knowing their duty in the society; they do not have any freedom. As a result, the Epsilons belong to the lowest class in the society. On page 24, the Byta states: “I don’t want to play with Delta children, and Epsilons are still worse. They are too stupid…I am so glad I’m a Byta.” The Byta are proud of their class and start to look down to the other classes. Instead of calling names, the entire class and every individual have the same name. The society is filled with cold-blooded clones acting like robots. As you can see, there is no freedom in the created utopian society of Brave New World

Student Teacher Project

A Silhouette, teasing hints of ravishing beauty, imprinted in my mind

A willowy figure, delicate treasure, swaying from side to side

I lie back, reminiscing memories of your presence

An exotic goddess, laying blessing upon my humble existence

Your flawless face, gazing down from the walls

My desire, uncontrollable. My self-control, about to crumble

Forbidden fruit - so close, yet so far away

Please, smile, smile again

Losing myself, without you, without me

Vincent Van Gogh's Painting

The ground opens up to swallow me
Deep, rocking ravages of despair.
Lost in nightmares, twisted memories.
Torments of past happiness, and the hour of loss.
The pain racks my soul,
Guilt, self-disgust overwhelm me completely,
Pulling me under once again, never to surface.

The Bull Calf Presentation

Theme: The theme of this poem is that Humans are condescending towards other living creatures. Since we are at the top of the food chain and has the power to kill animals, we do so sometimes for money but sometimes for no reason at all.

Quotes: "of his frightened look, growing smaller and smaller"

This quote shows that animals are helpless in the face of humans. They can not defend themselves and are subject to our slaughters.

"We dug a deep pit and threw the dead calf into it"

This quote shows how heartless humans can be. The indifference tone shows that they cared little for the calf that they just killed - for the living sould that they just destroyed.

"Without movement, perfectly still in the cool pit"

This quote shows that just like that, a living creature was killed by humans, having no power to defend itself. Now it's nothing more than a dead body.
